Design and Pattern Making:
- Conceptualizing new dress styles, inspired by nature (flowers, butterflies, feathers), classic elegance, and whimsical themes.
- Creating detailed sketches and technical drawings.
- Developing patterns tailored for infant and toddler sizes, ensuring comfort and ease of movement.
-
Material Sourcing:
- Procuring high-quality fabrics such as delicate lace (as seen in your images), tulle, satin, silk, and soft cotton linings.
- Sourcing embellishments like artificial flowers, pearls, beads, sequins, and the specific golden butterfly appliques and feathers seen in the examples.
- Ensuring materials are safe and comfortable for sensitive baby skin.
-
Dress Production:
- Cutting: Precisely cutting fabric pieces according to patterns.
- Sewing: Expertly stitching together dress components, including the main body, sleeves (if any), skirts, and linings. Given the intricate details, this would involve a lot of fine machine and hand sewing.
- Embellishment Application: Meticulously attaching the floral appliques, butterflies, feathers, and other decorative elements by hand. This is a very labor-intensive and artistic part of the process.
- Finishing: Adding closures (buttons, zippers), hemming, and ensuring all raw edges are neatly finished.
- Quality Control: Rigorous inspection of each dress to ensure high standards of craftsmanship, durability, and aesthetic appeal.
